(eg, sculpt one finger, and have all other updated in realtime). No need to remesh and loosing detail like in zbrush. Dynamic tessellation is way better that zremesh. They are not very good for controlled work since the grain can be a bit unpredictable, but they are good as either a foundation painting tool or an effect brush added onto the end.Mostly having fun in 3d coat. I much prefer the water brush, but I still use these to add texture to my art. Ideal use: Painting that require a traditional look.Ĭonclusion: This set is not my favorite due to how difficult it is to get the settings to my liking. Hardness: High (requires hard press to to go maximum size)ĭynamic Range: Low (Small difference between the smallness stroke to the biggest stroke while using the same brush size)Ĭontrol: Hard (quite difficult to handle the brush due to its texture and blending functions) It’s a bit hard to control, so maybe it requires more experimentation on my end. They’re the bare essentials, I find, for general painting. I found that I used Gouache and Thin Gouache the most out of all of these. This brush doesn’t lay down any color, and is only used for mixing two colors together. Gouache blender, as stated, is a blender. It’s a very specific stylized brush that isn’t made for general painting. It also has a blending function, but I found it hard to use. It has a denser quality to it, so you don’t have to press down as hard for paint. Thin Gouache is softer, and can be used for detailing. ![]() It’s pretty hard to press.ĭry gouache is even harder, and provides a noise-like grain texture on top of your work. Gouache brush is kind of a normal brush with texture.
